Clements Centre Supported Employment Program
Featuring DJ Manic and local artists
The Supported Employment Program at Clements Centre is all about setting goals and making dreams come true. Join us for Open Air Summer Beats, an afternoon and evening of music, art, and community at Red Arrow Brewing Company. Spend the day celebrating local artists, performers, and entrepreneurs from across the Cowichan Region.
If you have attended one of our Supported Employment Program events before, you already know it is going to be the place to be.
DJ Manic
StillRaye is the musical creation of Anthony Still and Shayla Raye, based on the wild west coast of Vancouver Island. Blending smooth alt-rock atmospheres with soul-infused, conscious hip-hop, they create an authentic, genre-blurring sound that feels both intimate and expansive. Performing as a three-piece band with Pete Chadwick on bass, StillRaye delivers an immersive live experience that keeps audiences captivated and inspired. With their fully self-produced debut album now available on all platforms, StillRaye is excited to bring its unique west coast soul rock-hop sound to new audiences.
Johnny Righteous is a popular Vancouver Island-based musician and singer-songwriter who blends roots reggae, rock, funk, and blues into a unique, soulful sound. Based in Shawnigan Lake in the Cowichan Region, he performs frequently at local venues, festivals, and community events across the region.
This trio came together through music during the pandemic, keeping each other grounded and excited to play. Connection has been jamming since the beginning of 2020, bringing a folk, pop, and rock sound with a great mix of original songs and covers.
Zumba instruction
Roslyn was born in the Caribbean, on the island of Trinidad, and moved to Canada when she was six years old. She started dancing jazz at age 12 and returned to dance as an adult in Duncan and Victoria, performing jazz funk and hip hop from 1998 to 2010 before branching into Latin dance. Salsa is her primary background, though she has also danced merengue, bachata, samba, cumbia, West African, Afro-Cuban, and African contemporary styles. In 2010, Roslyn discovered Zumba and grew an instant passion for this style of dance fitness. Under the mentorship of Danny Lemus, she went on to become a certified Zumba instructor.
