1. Program Services to Families

    Consultants connect with families of children from birth to 12 years in person, by phone and email to help them choose and monitor child care that best fits their family’s needs. This includes free access to listings of registered licensed and registered-license-not-required (RLNR) child care programs. Other services include:  

    • Sharing information on types of child care available in our communities and nations.
    • Answers to questions on how to choose a child care program for their children.
    • Help to apply for child care subsidy benefits through the Ministry of Children and Family Development.
    • Free print and website information on child care related issues and agencies that support families.
  2. Program Services to Care Providers

    Consultants support licensed and RLNR family child care and group child care by providing start-up information, phone, E-mail and in-person (RLNR) consultations, and Professional Development training. Registered providers/programs contact information will be posted on the referral data base. Registered providers have free access to the Toy & Resource Lending Library, options for free outreach pickup & delivery services, and reduced rates for child care related training offered by the CCRR. All child care providers are welcome to contact the CCRR for information on:

    • Starting and operating a child care business including government grants options
    • Child care related workshops and networking events
    • How to access other child care related community resources
  3. Program Services to Cowichan Valley Communities

    Consultants are active participants in child care related community meetings and events where they advocated for quality child care and recruit potential child care providers. Child care related information including Professional Development workshops and courses, and the quarterly CCRR E-newsletter is available on the Clements Centre Society website Children’s Services page, and Sundrops facebook page.
