A Nickel for Your Thoughts!

The amazing support of Helen Evans is impossible to include in a brief newsletter article….however, since 2011 when the building was           renovated Helen has been collecting nickels!

Why on earth?  To assist with accessibility after the renovation, an        elevator was necessary.  The “Nickel Foundation” supported the initial purchase of the elevator.  Since then Helen has endeavored to collect every Nickel to support both the gap in initial funding for the installation as well as annual maintenance costs.

To date, Helen has collected THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDREND nickels.  35,500!  That’s a lot of Nickels, that’s a lot of Love!
